We use melted chocolate along with cocoa powder for double the chocolate impact. No baking powder is used, ensuring a dense, truffle-like texture.
Ingredients
- 1/2 cup butter
- 8 oz semi-sweet chocolate, chopped
- 3/4 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 3 eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
- 2 tbsp cocoa powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
Instructions
- Melt: Melt butter and chocolate together until smooth. slightly cool.
- Whip: Beat eggs and sugars until pale and thick (this creates the crinkly top!).
- Combine: Fold chocolate mix into egg mix. Gently fold in flour, cocoa, and salt.
- Bake: Pour into 8x8 pan. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 25-30 mins. Do not overbake!
